Compensation Analyst

Veritas is looking for a motivated compensation professional to join a seasoned and experienced compensation team that is known for its partnership with the business and recognized team-based culture.

This is an instrumental position in a department that provides the opportunity to take on new and exciting responsibilities. In this role, you will have visibility across all aspects of compensation and ownership of compensation program implementation.


  • Leads implementation of global compensation programs such as annual Focal cycles (salary, bonus and equity). Responsible for all aspects of program management including deliverable timeframes, modeling, HRIS interface, resource management, communications and post program activities.
  • Conducts data analysis and modeling in Excel (company-wide and departmental); summarizes data for compensation team, HR and Business Leaders.
  • Owns the ad hoc bonus program and monthly/quarterly approval processes for equity.
  • Responsible for all HRIS configuration and reporting for compensation; partners with other non-HR departments such as Finance and Legal.
  • Provides consultation on individual / departmental issues such as compensation recommendations, market competitiveness and policy issues.
  • Develops and/or participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position.
  • Develops salary structures and pay ranges for global corporate-wide jobs using market data resources.
  • Responsible for interpreting data anomalies and providing recommendations in non-routine situations.
  • Partners and assists compensation team with implementing new programs, ad hoc projects and specialty areas (i. e. job structures, sales, bonus, long term incentives, executive compensation).
  • Proactively identifies process improvements and efficiencies.

  • Fully developed compensation Excel skillset which includes vlookups, complex formulas, pivot tables and other advanced Excel abilities.
  • Ability to influence, educate and train others with the use of data analysis and Excel.
  • Understanding of global compensation practice areas and ability to apply knowledge to business specific situations.
  • Experience implementing global compensation programs with strong project management skills and working with HRIS to develop system configurations.
  • Understanding of pay practices in US and other key countries.
  • Experience using and interpreting market data to benchmark jobs and create pay ranges.
  • Proactively consults with country experts or legal on compensation issues.
  • Experience providing Excel summaries and data for review with business leaders and other HR employees
  • Comfortable with completing presentations for executive summaries and training sessions and writing program communications to employees and managers.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and coaching experience to HR Business Partners and Business Managers.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
